He served with Highway Patrol units in various provinces in Canada also working many hours with USA State Patrol officers on Canadian/USA border issues which included drug introduction, alien smuggling, arms smuggling and motor vehicle traffic issues.
As an investigator he worked on many fatal motor vehicle accidents and his expertise earned him great respect within the courts. On many occasions he was classified as an expert witness by those courts.
He was a heavy truck and commercial vehicle inspector earning an air ticket for the operation of Highway trailer units and buses. (Class 1). On a more fun note, he received the dreaded motor vehicle violations as many of you have. He would not though, bring out the badge to make the ticket go away, but instead decided to have his day in court.
Of the 10 tickets received over a twenty year period he beat all of them.
